About us
Noosa Chorale is a community choir dedicated to bringing the rich repertoire of great choral works to the people of the Noosa region and Sunshine Coast.
The Chorale is a cultural landmark in the Noosa region, with a rich history dating back to our establishment and first performance in 1994. Noosa Chorale welcomes new members joining to share our commitment to personal and community enrichment through singing. The shared commitment to personal and community enrichment through music is at the heart of the Chorale, and our members engage wholeheartedly in the rigorous rehearsal schedule leading up to every performance in our annual concert programme in order to share our love of music with our community. |

MEMBERS
Our current members number over 100 each year, including those who sing at our major concerts and other performances, as well as a troop of dedicated volunteers. Our extensive mailing list of several hundred people includes past members, and loyal audience members who have attended many concerts over the years. Our members come from far and wide - from all along the coastal areas of the Noosa Shire and beyond as well as from the Noosa hinterland. All age groups and walks of life are represented. In any one year, the choir’s performances entail the active contributions of several hundred people including choristers, soloists, musicians, and an army of hard-working volunteers, and well more than 1000 audience members.
WE WELCOME NEW MEMBERS
Joining the choir is easy and new members are always welcome.
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Noosa Chorale is registered as an incorporated non-profit association. Its affairs are managed by a Management Committee elected from among the members at the Annual General Meeting, and serving in a voluntary capacity.
'HOME BASE'
The Chorale's 'home' is at Noosa's J Theatre which provides a professional performance and rehearsal space, and a regional landmark presence for the Chorale’s concerts.
CONCERTS
Each year, our annual program of concerts includes 3 major concerts at The J Theatre, as well as other performances at civic and cultural events.
FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS
We are grateful for the support we have received over the years from many individuals and organisations in the community. The success of our concerts each year depends on the dedicated efforts of many volunteers; many community-based organisations have worked in partnership with us, providing moral, practical, and financial support in the form of grants and sponsorships.
